desert storm.

looks like terry might just become a permanent resident of the desert. with only 20 miles left to go, we're trapped in the car waiting out a storm that's acting like it aint ever leaving. the lightning is super scary and dangerous and the wind is really strong. its pretty crazy. plus to add to the fun we dont have a room booked tonight because they've all been booked for ages and we were hoping to be heading out by tonight. woohoo for adventures! anyway, terry's doing good, just super irritated about having to be trapped in the car this close to her finish line. we'll update again soon, let's hope it's with a finish report!

Terry I'm sorry your stuck in the car, but maybe the storm is Gods way of protecting you and forcing you to take a much needed break(maybe) He works in mysterious ways, take a rest and Finish this thing when you can, you got this nothing stopping you now, my prayers are going out to you, be safe, love ya D

Ter, just take this time to rest you tired self and give your feet some off time, you'll get to the finish soon, stay safe and rest for now. I'm with you in my heart.

Rest while you can!
PLEASE be careful of the washes in that part of the course! They can be the site of dangerous flash flooding. Make sure you're in a safe spot--on high ground.

You are in my prayers tonight.

Oh, Terry, nothing is as planned. Well, except for you completing what you came to do. Like everyone is saying, rest, rest, rest. Take this time for you. You will be back out on the road soon enough to finish what you started. We are all pulling, rooting, supporting, loving, and praying for you. Rest now and keep on going. Love ya Trin

"it came to pass that they journeyed many days in the Wilderness, and fasted much and prayed much that the Lord would grant unto them a portion of his Spirit to go with them, and abide with them" Alma 17:9
May he be with you on the rest of your journey and keep you safe

Hey RoadRunner, we got in late from haying. Yeah, I finally get to drive the truck!! Honey, you listen to God and take that rest He must have ordered! Also, that advice of Marcia, about the washes and flash floods, Wow, she sounds like a guardian angel. Ter, you've got this thing (the run), but this patience part must be part of the challenge. Saying lots of prayers for you and your crew, especially out under the stars, because I know that somewhere you are out there running your heart out under them. (but hopefully getting some rest right now) Much love, Jen

Please Be Safe!!

Hope you finished during the night. In any case, I found someone who has a room at Furnace Creek, who would be glad to let you sleep there for awhile. His name is Alan Geraldi and he is in room 723 at Furnace Creek. He is there for the Badwater Ultra and has an extra bed in his room. Please don't be shy. Go knock on the door!

Oh, one more thing. Alan says he may not be IN the room. He may be out in front of the 700 building where his crew van is. Look for a blue Honda and a bald man with a tattoo on each lower leg.
