way to go Ter! you are one f_cking hard-core, tough-as-nails, determined, stubborn pit bull....thats a compliment.

i'm so sorry you have to suffer the added pain of the feet, as if there's not enough pain without that. but thats the way it goes, no guarantees. your true strength comes from your amazing ability to endure...so tough you are kiddo. get the Portals behind you and focus on rest & recovery in the short time you have...replenish both. take on the mtn, 1 step at a time and it will come to you if your patient. this is now an exercise in patience and pain tolerence. remember, the pain is only temporary, not making the mtn will last forever. you CAN do this, i know it. the uphillskier

Terry, I am remembering how beautiful that road up the base of the mountain was, in the cool night air! I envy you for being there. Enjoy it, pain and all. I know you are hurting, but I know that you tend to thrive best in that kind of pain. You're getting there! Looking for more updates... AND PICTURES!!!! Lisa

Terry so proud of you. To keep going when every part of you would probably like to quit. I did my long run today. My battery was dead on my mp3 player. So it was one long boring run. Although, I thought of you every step of the way. I thought if she can keep going this is the least I can do. Thanks again for getting me through. Sorry about the feet and the pain that goes along with it. You are one amazingly tough person. I am thinking of you always. Try to enjoy the scenery on the way up. Good job Ter. Love Trin

I ran across this and know you can relate..."The body does not want you to do this. As you run, it tells you to stop but the mind must be strong. You always go too far for your body. You must handle the pain with strategy...It is not age; it is not diet. It is the will to succeed." ~Jacqueline Gareau, 1980 Boston Marathon champ.

You have a strong mind, you have strong support both in your crew and here at home. We are all behind you and have faith in you Terry. You climb up that mountain knowing what it will feel like getting to the TOP. Let us be the voices in your ear telling you to focus and keep on going. We all love you and are thinking of you.

The pain is temporary, the accomplishment will be permanent!! Love You, Steffalo

Terry, just letting you know I'm thinking of you, and want to tell you that I appreciate what you're doing for epilepsy. My 11 year old grandson was also diagnosed with epilepsy 4 years ago, so I have a taste of what you're going through as a mother. My prayers are with you. Love, Sistasyl!

You are insanely incredible! One out of three HUGE goals accomplished! Hopefully you're resting peacefully for now. You deserve it. One plus for the mountain (I think?) is the fact that your using your muscles in a different way, and different muscles. Way to go Terry! It must feel great to have 135 under your belt for the second time. Best wishes on your ascent to the top!
Love, Karen

Terry...Karen (Steffany's mom) here in Montana wanting to send some prayers your way. I can't even imagine what you must be going through, but I admire you as you take each step in fulfillment of your dream. It's not the destination...it's the JOURNEY. Hang in there...the one set of footprints you see may not always be yours. Thinking of you, Karen

Terry,

We have been following your progress and it seems as though when you take on a challenge as you are doing, there some difficult spots, however, look at it as a minor road block, it is not going to stop you, you just need to go around it or through it and you will get to the other side.
We have alot of faith in you and know you can succeed. Just remember not many people can say they did a run in Death Valley In a 110+ heat. Love,
Midge & Mike

Keep going Terry, you're doing it!! You won't believe this but I, yes, I went on a 1.5 mile hike through the woods of Oregon today, to a waterfall. My son forced me to go. I told Hunter all about you and your run. I've been thinking about you so much!! I can't even imagine the distance you are going. I was whining about 1.5 miles. You are so amazing! Love ya, jackie
